Fissure Operation: When is Surgery Necessary?
Anal fissures can appear as a cut or tear in anus and can usually be treated with non-surgical options. In some cases, if medicine fails to treat the fissure, anal fissure surgery may be necessary.
Is Fissure a Necessity for Surgery?
Anal fissure surgery is performed if the fissure persists more than eight weeks. As per Dr. Azhar Alam it is often recommended for both chronic and acute cases of anal fissure.
Anal fissures can cause severe pain and bleeding. Anal fissure surgery may be necessary if non-surgical treatment fails or you have skin tags.
Your anal fissure can become more difficult to treat if you delay proper treatment.
