Benefits of Circumcision

The benefits of circumcision

Circumcision can be a great way for you to protect your baby boy throughout his life. The United States has changed its national health guidelines to conclude that circumcision is a better option than the risks. The main medical benefit is the decreased risk of developing any of these life-threatening or unpleasant conditions:

Balanitis

Circumcision can completely avoid this painful and recurring swelling of the glans that can prevent or impede urination.

HIV/AIDS

Urinary tract Infections

While we know that having one trusted, healthy partner is the best way to prevent these life-threatening conditions, circumcision can offer some protection. According to the World Health Organisation, circumcision should be considered in addition to current HIV prevention measures.

STIs (others than HIV)

Strong evidence supports the claim that circumcision decreases the chance of contracting syphilis or herpes simplex. A number of African trials have shown that circumcision can protect against Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea.

Penis cancer

You can future-proof your health and that of your child by circumcision. It is very rare for men to develop cancer of the penis, but it is not uncommon in circumcised men.

Phimosis

Circumcision is the best treatment for frenulum and tight foreskin problems (prepuce).
Your partner will also reap the benefits
It is easier to clean and maintain a circumcised penis. It will also benefit your lady’s overall health. The Human Papilloma Virus, which thrives under and on the skin of women’s cervixes, can cause cancer. Although the NHS has offered a HPV vaccination program to girls, it has not yet agreed to do so for boys. The New England Journal of Medicine found that male circumcision has been associated with a lower risk of HPV infection in female partners and a lower risk of cervical cancer in them.
